We Are Open – Safety is Our Top Priority!
We’ve reopened in accordance with CDC, O.S.H.A., and State Dental Board guidelines to responsibly resume seeing our patients for regular dental appointments and treatment. We want to assure you of the measures we take to maintain a clean and safe environment so you can continue to receive needed dental care without fear or concern.
We understand that toothaches can happen at any time. That’s one of the reasons why our office in Huntington has early morning and evening appointments throughout the week.
Why You May Need an Emergency Root Canal
Whether it’s a persistent throbbing around your tooth or a sharp, severe toothache, don’t delay. If you feel pain, it’s likely the nerves in your tooth are inflamed. Typically, that’s caused by one of these problems:
- dental decay (a cavity) has progressed through the enamel of the tooth and reached the soft pulp in the tooth canal, which is where the nerves are contained
- the tooth has cracked or broken and the nerves are now exposed
- a crown or filling came out and the nerves are now exposed
- your tooth has been damaged some other way
